Thomas J. Tighe

Thomas J. Tighe received his law degree with honors from the University of Florida in 1982. He was a published member of the University of Florida Law Review and has been chosen for the Phi Kappa Phi honors society and the Order of the Coif. Mr. Tighe was chairman of the Code Enforcement Board for the City of Lighthouse Point from 1983 to 1986 and was Assistant City Attorney for the City of Plantation (1982-1989) and City of Wilton Manors (1982 -1986 ). He is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and The Florida Bar.

Mr. Tighe is the managing partner of the firm. He supervises representation of the firm's community association clients and handles special projects for the associations.

Mr. Tighe has been awarded the prestigious AV® rating, which is the highest rating available from the well-known Martindale-Hubbell lawyer directory.


Michelle Montekio

 

Michelle Montekio received her law degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. She is a member of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association.

Ms. Montekio is in charge of the firm's collections and lien foreclosures for the associations. Her representation of the firm's community association clients also includes rule enforcement, injunction lawsuits and interpretation of association documents.


Meredith L. Spira

Meredith L. Spira received her law degree from Emory University in 2000 and was managing Editor of the Bankruptcy Developments Journal. She is a member of The Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice with the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Her representation of the firm's community association clients includes enforcement, injunction lawsuits, interpretation of association documents and preparation of amendments. Ms. Spira's practice also includes wills, trusts, estate planning and probate.



John S. Bernstein

John S. Bernstein ("JJ") received his law degree from Nova Southeastern University, summa cum laude, and was a contributing member to both Nova Law Review and Nova's Moot Court Society. During law school, John obtained valuable litigation experience working first as a legal intern with the Broward County Public Defender, and then as a law clerk with a Boca Raton professional liability insurance defense firm. He was sworn into the Florida Bar in 2010.

John brings leadership and teamwork to Tucker & Tighe, P.A. Serving the country's military prior to law school, he succeeded in the highly disciplined field of Naval Aviation. John received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.



Ana Malave

Ana Malave received her law degree from Nova Southeastern University and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2010. During law school she was Bilingual Editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law and Vice-President of the Hispanic Law Student Association. In addition to Nova, Ana attended law school at the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.

Her representation of the firm's community association clients includes bankruptcy matters, opposing bank foreclosures and general legal representation.



Gianna Occhiogrosso

Gianna Occhiogrosso received her law degree in 2010 from the University of Miami, cum laude. In law school, she was selected to serve as an honorable Dean's Fellow to Miami Law's Academic Achievement Program. In that position, she served as a mentor to fellow law students. She is a member of The Florida Bar, Dade County Bar Association and Broward County Bar Association.

Gianna's legal work for the firm's community association clients includes association lien foreclosures and collecting from tenants in delinquent units.


Morris C. Tucker, one of the founders of the firm, retired in 1997. During his 45 year career as a lawyer in Broward County, Florida, he held such important positions as City Attorney for the City of Oakland Park and City Attorney for the City of Wilton Manors. The firm is privileged to carry on its practice in the tradition of legal expertise and client service which he helped establish.
